Moonshot runs entirely on your Mac. Recordings you import, projects you build and videos you export are stored locally and never uploaded. There is no account to create.
PostHog is used to understand how features are used and to catch crashes, so the app can be improved. It is configured to avoid collecting information that identifies you. It may process limited technical data — device type, app version, IP address — in order to function; that is never used to identify you personally.
If you buy or subscribe to anything in the app, RevenueCat processes and manages that purchase, linked to an anonymous identifier rather than your name. Payment itself is handled by Apple, so card details are never seen or stored here.
If you sign up to hear about updates or the beta, your email address is collected and used only to send you those updates. It is stored on appydan.io's own server, and never shared or sold. You can unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted at any time.
The app relies on these services, each with its own privacy policy.
Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by the analytics provider under their standard retention periods. The only personal data held — your email, if you gave it — is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be removed.
Because the app avoids collecting information that identifies you, there is usually nothing personal to hold. The exception is your email, if you signed up for updates. Email hello@appydan.io to access or delete it and it will be done promptly.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and their data is not knowingly collected.
